How to Ride a Bear

Sage waving on bear

A good bear rider must wave to the crowds of adoring onlookers. Or at least to his mother.

At a recent visit to Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls, Sage demonstrated his many techniques for effective bear riding.

There’s the intense, alert position wherein an effective rider shows that bear who’s boss.

There’s also the “napping-on-a-bear position” (for advanced riders only).

You have to keep an eye on that bear once you get off though.

As Sage demonstrated so effectively, sculpted bears are wonderful things. I just hope he doesn’t start getting ideas about the real ones…
