Scenes from the Fall

Court guards the maple tree

Autumn is passing its peak here in Wisconsin, but the maple tree in our yard went out in a blaze of glory. The tree is now naked, but the here are some scenes from before the glory faded:

The maple seemed to be huddling against a neighboring spruce beneath a somber sky.

Sage and Paul tackled the falling leaves; Sage was uncharacteristically and welcomely enthusiastic about performing physical labor.

Sage contemplated his contribution to the leaf removal cause.

Fortunately, the sun came back out, and the maple’s splendor was restored.

  1. Though a Floridian, I had an opportunity to visit the northern PA mountains and saw glorious foliage just like this. Thanks for inviting me to relish the beauty a second time here.
