Best Sage and Paul planting tree

Sage and Paul planting an apple tree

According to Lucy Larcom, “He who plants a tree, plants a hope.”

Well, my menfolk have just planted THREE hopes: two Honeycrisp apple trees and a weeping willow, to be precise.

And they’ve planted this hope in me: that Sage will have many years and many fond memories of eating homegrown apples, and that the willow will do all of Sage’s weeping for him.

  1. Lucy Larcom is right, ” He who plants a tree plants hope. The coziness of this family gathering reflects good times and promises hope. Martin Luther is also quoted as saying, “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” Quote attribution is often questionable, but I go along with them both. Have a great weekend! 🙂
